How to Live More Securely in Your House
I have spent a lot of time talking about home security with a lot of homeowners. I am trying to gain some insight on different ways our homes become at risk. I asked each person I spoke with if they had ever witnessed suspicious actions at their house. It could have been robbery, broken windows, a suspicious person – anything. I was surprised that almost every single person had at least one story to tell. Many of the stories eventually led them to get a security system. I have learned that Cuyahoga Falls Security is a popular choice.
One gentleman informed me that he had been home for the afternoon one day, but left to pick his son up from soccer practice. When he and his son arrived back at home about 10 minutes later, one of his windows was shattered and several things were missing inside. He seemed to think he had been watched, and that the robber knew once he left the house. A different mother of three told me that she answered the door for a person who claimed to be a salesman. After the man pitched his sale, he asked if he could talk it over with her inside the house. She said no thanks, and the man replied by asking if he could at least come inside and use her telephone. Since the man was being so persistent, she again declined and closed the door in his face.
All of us have had encounters with suspicious people and situations. Some are worse than others, like that of the first man. The information I am analyzing helps me determine what drives people to buy a security system. The second woman said she elected to get one the very next day.
I have learned about a lot of similar stories from other families. People never truly know what can happen on a specific day. I am convinced these people did not wake up that morning assuming something abnormal would happen later that day. It definitely emphasizes the value in always being proactive.
